As a Workplace Relations Advisor, you'll provide trusted advice and advocacy to members on complex employment and industrial matters. Working alongside a dedicated and collaborative team, you'll play a key role in protecting doctors' rights and wellbeing because when doctors are supported, the entire health system, and the patients it serves, are stronger.

What will the role involve?

You'll be part of a team representing and supporting members with workplace advice and industrial matters.

  • Support and organise members in their industrial relations with employers.
  • Provide practical workplace relations advice and advocate for members at local, tribunal, and college levels.
  • Plan and implement strategic industrial campaigns to encourage collective action and membership. This includes campaigns targeting safe hours, bullying, and performance management.
  • Use your expertise in negotiation and dispute settlement to advise and represent members.
  • Contribute to the development of policy and submissions to government.
  • Support the Director in strategic planning and providing technical/employment law advice.

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a not-for-profit member-based organisation
  • Proven experience in conciliation and arbitration at Fair Work or similar
  • Competency in member-focussed service, negotiation and dispute settlement
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Tertiary qualifications in industrial relations, law or related disciplines will be highly regarded
