Conquest Recruitment is partnering with a leading food manufacturing business based in Kensington to find a qualified Maintenance Fitter who's ready to step into a hands-on, fast-paced role with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability.

This site-based role is perfect for someone with a strong mechanical trade background and a proactive approach to equipment maintenance, breakdown resolution, and safety compliance.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Fitter, you'll be responsible for:

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Responding to unplanned breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Supporting production teams by ensuring equipment reliability and plant availability
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for performance improvements
• Driving site safety, hygiene, and compliance standards

What We're Looking For:

• A trade qualification in mechanical engineering (or relevant discipline)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance fitter role within food manufacturing (milling experience highly regarded)
• Sound knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication and time management skills
