We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Advisor to join a well-established industrial operation in Far North Queensland. This is a hands-on role supporting leaders and frontline teams to drive a strong safety culture across site operations.
You'll play a key role in:
- Supporting safety systems and compliance activities
- Conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Coordinating toolbox talks and safety initiatives
- Managing risk registers and corrective actions
- Supporting rehabilitation and return-to-work processes
- Assisting with emergency response coordination
- Driving continuous improvement and behavioural safety programs
About You:
- Experience in WHS/SHE/EHS roles within industrial, manufacturing, mining, construction or heavy industry environments
- Strong understanding of safety legislation and risk management
- Confident communicator who can engage with both leadership and operational teams
- Passionate about creating safer workplaces and influencing positive change
- Certificate IV in WHS minimum (Diploma highly regarded)
Qualifications/experience
- Cert IV in Training & Assessing
- Cert IV in OHS
- Occupational First Aid
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work Certificate
- Senior First Aid
- Confined Space Entry
- Safe Working at Heights
