Our client are an Australian owned high end furniture business based in the South East Suburbs and have been operating since 1987. Their products are beautifully designed and crafted by hand from start to finish. Their team is creative and dedicated to ensure that their design philosophy is applied to everything you see.
Due to their ongoing growth they are currently seeking Production Scheduler to join their team who demonstrate a strong cultural fit and positive attitude.
Reporting to Head of Purchasing you will be responsible for creating efficient and effective scheduling of all manufacturing activities, ensuring optimal production flow, working closely with the purchasing team and accurate reporting on production performance.
Key accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain a detailed Production Schedule that optimizes resource utilization, minimizes downtime and meets production targets.
- Scheduling all manufacturing processes considering factors such as machine capacity, labor budgets, material availability, and production priorities.
- Setting and meeting Production targets and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Actively participate in the introduction and implementation of Epicor for scheduling.
- Act as the primary point of contact for production updates, communicating clearly and proactively with internal teams, including production staff, quality control and sales.
- Provide regular updates on schedule adherence, potential delays and any changes to Production Plans.
- Liaise with the Purchasing team to ensure that incoming goods align with the Production Schedule.
- Communicate material requirements, tracking delivery timelines and proactively address any potential Supply Chain disruptions that could impact production.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Production Scheduling including schedule adherence, production output, and on-time delivery.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports detailing production delays, root cause analysis, and corrective actions implemented
- Assist with the implementation and roll out of Epicor, being a main stake holder in the project team with production Scheduling.
To be successful:
- You will possess substantial experience in Production Scheduling within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent IT skills with Excel and ERP platforms (Epicor highly regarded)
- Are proactive and a team player with excellent communication skills to liaise with various departments.
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
