Welder - Electrical Switchboards Control Boxes

Casual to Permanent Opportunity

Our client is a leader in assembly and distribution of Mains Switchboards, Motor Control Centres, Kiosk Substations, Transportable Switchrooms, EV Charging Systems and BESS Systems.

We are seeking an experienced Welder with MIG experience to join a growing team based in Thomastown, working on the precision assembly of electrical switchboards. TIG experience would also be an advantage. This role offers an immediate casual start with full time hours, with the view to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Pay rate is $35.10 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Precision welding and fabrication of components for electrical control boxes
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions
• Working with various metals and materials with a focus on quality and detail
• Collaborating with other team members in a workshop environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience in welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium
• Ability to work from plans and drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Electrical component or panel assembly experience is an advantage
