An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Fitter & Turner to join a well-established industrial operation based in Ingham, Queensland.

Working within a dynamic maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of plant and equipment across a large-scale manufacturing environment. About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, machining, fabrication, and repair work on a variety of mechanical equipment and assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Carry out precision machining, fitting, and fabrication activities.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance documentation.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to achieve production targets.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner (or equivalent mechanical trade).
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial, manufacturing, mining, sugar milling, or heavy engineering environments.
  • Strong machining, fitting, and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, rotating equipment, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Current driver's licence.
