Our client are a global leader specialising in door opening and access solutions. Based in over 70 countries they are currently seeking a Permanent Maintenance Fitter based in the South East Suburbs.
- Monday to Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm
- $46.53 per hour with yearly increases
- OT available Saturdays
- Christmas shutdown every year

Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor you will be responsible for a range of activities that support the operations team to ensure the effective use of machinery, maintenance and improvement of facilities.
Key Duties:
- Ensure mechanical breakdown, preventative maintenance and system checks are completed to schedule and in a timely manner.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
- Complete diagnostic/repair work to resolve breakdowns.
- Ensure that all equipment and installations are mechanically safe and compliant to WHS and Quality standards.
- Complete jobbing shop machining of small batch production components.
- Produce and repair jigs, fixtures, and tooling for production purposes.
- Assist with the planning, removal, relocating and commissioning of machines.
- Be involved in plant preparation for planned maintenance shutdown work.
- Ensure all your preventive and corrective work is diligently documented.
- Assist larger maintenance team with break down and preventative maintenance activity.
To be successful:
- Fitter and Turner Trade Qualification
- A minimum of 3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment working with automated machinery and robotics
- Previous experience with breakdowns and preventative maintenance with machinery
- Have a sound understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and control systems
- Be proactive and a motivated team player
