About the role

Based in Tennyson, a leading milling, manufacturing, and distributor of flour-based food products are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team on a casual basis with the possibility for ongoing work. Hours are 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday (can be flexible)

Duties:

• Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment

• Responding to unplanned breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Supporting production teams by ensuring equipment reliability and plant availability
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for performance improvements
• Driving site safety, hygiene, and compliance standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• A trade qualification in mechanical engineering (or relevant discipline)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance fitter role within food manufacturing highly regarded
• Sound knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Experience working within GMP and HACCP environments
