We're seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operator to join a growing warehouse-based manufacturing operation in Carrum Downs, working within a timber production environment.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with machinery experience in manufacturing or warehousing. Experience in timber manufacturing is highly regarded but not essential, as training will be provided.

About the role

You'll be responsible for operating and setting up machinery to manufacture high-quality timber products, while maintaining safety, efficiency and quality standards. This role suits someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative, team-first workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

• Set-up and operation of manufacturing machinery

• Packing and labelling finished products

• Monitoring machine performance and reporting issues

• Basic machine maintenance, cleaning and tool changes

• Quality control and inspection of products

• Working to KPIs and standard operating procedures

• Supporting a safe, tidy and efficient warehouse environment

• Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives

• Forklift operation (if licenced)

About you

• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment

• Timber manufacturing experience (advantageous, not essential)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What's on offer

• $28 - $35 per hour, depending on experience

• Full-time role - 38 hours per week

• Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm

  • Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm

• Immediate start available (notice periods respected)
