The Opportunity
We're partnering with an innovative business in the technology sector that is expanding rapidly and looking for a confident, capable HR Manager to establish and manage their HR function.
This is a full-time, office-based role (5 days per week) and is ideal for someone who is proactive, organised, and comfortable working autonomously in a growing business.
A key requirement for this role is the ability to communicate fluently in both Mandarin and English, as you will be supporting a bilingual workforce and working closely with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
You will take ownership of the full HR function, including:
- Managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including job advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Building and implementing HR policies, procedures, and processes from scratch
- Preparing employment contracts, maintaining employee records, and managing HR administration
- Coordinating payroll with external providers
- Ensuring compliance with Australian employment legislation, including Fair Work, leave entitlements, superannuation, and workplace obligations
- Acting as the main point of contact for employee queries and HR support
- Helping to create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Fluent bilingual communication skills in Mandarin and English (essential)
- 1-3 years' HR experience within Australia
- A sound understanding of Australian employment law and HR compliance
- Experience managing full-cycle recruitment
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Highly Regarded
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Experience working in a startup, scale-up, or small business environment
- Exposure to HR systems and software
