The Opportunity
We're partnering with an innovative company in the technology space that is scaling quickly and looking for a hands-on HR Manager to establish and run their HR function.
This is a full-time, office-based role (5 days) suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process - job ads, screening, interviews, onboarding
- Set up and manage HR processes, policies, and procedures from scratch
- Handle contracts, employee records, and HR administration
- Coordinate payroll with external providers
- Ensure compliance with Australian employment laws (Fair Work, super, leave, etc.)
- Act as the go-to person for employee support and queries
- Help build a positive, engaging workplace culture
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years' HR experience within Australia
- Solid understanding of Australian employment legislation
- Experience across full-cycle recruitment
- A self-starter who enjoys autonomy and variety
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience in a startup or small business environment
- Exposure to HR systems / software
Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have full, unrestricted working rights
