The Role
Based in Tennyson, you'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently by maintaining and repairing plant equipment while ensuring safety and reliability remain a priority.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across production equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Supporting production through reliable equipment performance
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives and plant upgrades
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Ensuring compliance with site safety, hygiene and quality standards
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving mechanical problems and takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance work.
You'll have:
- Trade qualification as a Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
- Experience within food manufacturing (highly regarded)
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs
- Experience working within GMP and HACCP environments (preferred)
- A proactive attitude with a strong commitment to workplace safety
- The ability to work independently and within a close-knit maintenance team
