Looking for a hands-on finance role where you can actually make an impact? This is a great opportunity to step into a growing business and take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function, while working closely with senior leadership.

This isn't just a "keep the books ticking" role - you'll be central to improving processes, driving insights, and helping shape the financial direction of the business as it scales.

The Role

You'll take the lead across all core finance activities, ensuring everything runs smoothly, accurately, and on time. Expect a mix of hands-on accounting, reporting, and business partnering.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end (journals, reconciliations, accruals)
• Overseeing AP/AR, invoicing, and debtor management
• Maintaining Xero (GL, bank feeds, chart of accounts)
• Payroll processing, super, PAYG, STP compliance
• Preparing BAS/IAS and FBT
• Cashflow forecasting and monitoring
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Weekly & monthly reporting with meaningful insights
• Supporting project-based financial tracking and invoicing
• Improving systems, processes, and reporting frameworks
• Managing one offshore finance resource

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles
• Strong Xero (or similar ERP) experience
• Solid Excel skills (Power Query highly regarded)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Confident communication skills and ability to work autonomously

Nice to have:

• CPA/CA qualified (or working towards)
• Experience in a project-based or tech environment
• Exposure to system improvements or ERP implementations
