Are you an A-Grade Electrician, Industrial Electrician or Electrical Tradesperson looking to take your electrical skills into a varied field service role?
We are partnering with a globally recognised organisation servicing customers across the manufacturing, oil & gas, mining and civil sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Technician to join their team on a permanent full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an electrician who enjoys fault-finding, troubleshooting, commissioning and working with industrial electrical and control systems - while gaining exposure to a wide range of equipment and customer environments.
The Role
This is a predominantly field-based position where you will use your electrical expertise to install, commission, maintain, diagnose and repair industrial electrical and electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites.
You'll work directly with customers to identify and resolve electrical and technical issues, minimise equipment downtime and ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently.
The role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to build on your electrical and technical skillset while working across a broad range of industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance
- Installation and commissioning of industrial equipment
- Testing, calibration and electrical system verification
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Diagnosing faults across motors, drives, sensors and control systems
- PLC fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Working with electrical control panels and industrial automation systems
- Providing technical support and advice to customers
- Completing service reports, job sheets and maintenance documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to required standards
Your Electrical Background

What You'll Need
- Electrical trade qualification and relevant Australian electrical licence
- Experience in industrial electrical maintenance, service or field-based environments
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with motors, VSDs/drives, control systems, sensors and PLCs highly regarded
- Experience with installation and commissioning is advantageous
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
