Our family owned Australian Business based in the South East Suburbs are a local food packaging manufacturer and are currently seeking 2 x Permanent Die Setters for an immediate start.

• Day Shift 6AM - 2PM $34.27
• Afternoon Shift 2PM - 10PM $39.41

Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible that all dies are prepared and maintained to the highest level to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists the Department to meet its performance and quality objectives by effective and timely problem resolution of plant and equipment problems and maintenance needs.
• Provides timely information on quality, performance, and serviceability problems of production equipment.
• Ensures all die changes and setups are completed quickly and accurately with minimum down time and in line with company standards.
• To promote and demonstrate teamwork when not changing dies, assists other Die Setters with resolving production problems to the level of your ability or assist Machine Operator to place boxes on pallets.
• Ensure that the proper tools and dies are placed into the Press.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Proven work experience in technical and/or hand tools in a manufacturing space.
• Ability to quickly learn & become competent in the use of new systems.
• Above average mechanical aptitude or trades background in a mechanical discipline such as fitting and turning or toolmaking.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety, food safety and quality systems and compliance requirements.
• Ability to find, locate and rectify die or production issues within the production area.
• Good manufacturing knowledge.
• Takes responsibility for the team's performance as well as their own.
• Focus on results.
• Must be happy to complete a pre medical - drug and alcohol
