Our client are a well-established Australian medical device manufacturer. They are currently seeking a Permanent Demand Planning Specialist to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an Australian owned and Market Leader who have been established for over 130 years based in the South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand & Supply Planning: Analyse demand and supply data to ensure accurate inventory management and forecasting processes
- Stock Holding Optimisation: Review, calculate, and determine the stock holding for all SKUs to optimize inventory holding and minimize excess stock.
- Inventory Control & Reporting: Manage inventory levels, assess slow-moving, obsolete, and excess stock, and ensure accurate reporting through our ERP system
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to achieve optimal supply levels and ensure quality standards are met
- Quality Management System (QMS): Ensure all planning and demand processes align with QMS and comply with ISO 13485 standards
- Stock Take & Cycle Counts: Champion the annual stock take and ensure regular cycle counts are completed with other internal stakeholders to maintain inventory accuracy
- Forecast Development: Develop and implement the company's forecast through collaboration with the production, sales, and management teams to ensure aligned goals and accurate projections
- Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and operations
Key Requirements
- Essential:
- Experience with MPS and MRP processes.
- Knowledge of inventory control, analysis, and reporting (including obsolescence, slow-moving stock)
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools)
- Understanding of supply chain fundamentals and forecasting techniques
- Experience with stocktake processes and ERP systems
- Advantageous:
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI) for advanced reporting
- Knowledge of S&OP processes and reverse logistics functions
