This is a genuine Temporary to Permanent opportunity. Seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Assistant to join the team at a Retail Meat shop in Laverton. This is a hands on role where you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to the operation. Reporting to the Store Manager you will have multiple tasks to complete daily to maintain an inviting and well stocked large scale meat shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to store strategies to grow the customer base, increase foot traffic.
- Achieve sales goals and attend training.
- Assist with daily store operations which includes cash handling and POS system operation (Lightspeed).
- Manage stock control, replenishment, pricing, rotation, returns, and credits.
- Rostered between Monday to Saturday (M-F 8:30am to 5:30pm & Sat 7:30 to 3pm). Can be flexible with hours to suit, i.e. school drop off/pick up).
- Take pride in presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness (including freezers and chillers).
- Monitor and assist with reporting buying trends, report on customer needs, and identify opportunities to increase service.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace health and safety practices, administration processes, and retail standards.

About You:
- Previous experience in retail mandatory, meat industry highly beneficial
- Proven ability assists with sales and understands sales targets.
- Communication skills are essential.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on, customer-focused, and committed to delivering outstanding service.
- Experience with Lightspeed POS (highly regarded).
