Administration Officer - Public Practice Accounting Firm

Our Mission

We are a well-established public practice accounting firm committed to providing accurate, timely, and practical financial advice to individuals, small businesses, and community organisations. Our core values-integrity, precision, and client focus-are reflected in every service we deliver. We aim to build long-term relationships based on trust and professionalism.

The Impact You'll Make

In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office. Your work will enable our accountants to focus on delivering high-quality services to clients, while you manage the day-to-day administrative functions that keep the practice organised and compliant.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, managing phone calls, emails, and in-person enquiries in a professional manner.
  • Prepare and lodge ASIC and ATO forms, maintain corporate registers, and assist with compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling, meeting room bookings, and maintain team calendars.
  • Update and manage client records in practice management software such as Xero Practice Manager or MYOB AE.
  • Assist with invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and basic bookkeeping tasks.
  • Prepare, scan, file, and archive documents in line with firm procedures.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment servicing, and liaise with external service providers.

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within an accounting or professional services environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development, including exposure to accounting and compliance processes.
  • Modern office facilities and flexible working arrangements.
  • Paid study leave for relevant courses and an annual professional development allowance.
  • Regular team activities and a focus on maintaining work-life balance.
