Job Details

An opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a small, well-established group of businesses operating across the construction, manufacturing and creative services sectors.

This is a stable, part-time role (approximately 16 hours per week), ideally suited to an experienced accounts professional seeking flexibility, consistency, and a supportive, family-run working environment. Hours can be worked across 2-3 agreed days, with consistency from week to week once confirmed.

Initially supporting two established construction-related businesses, this role is designed to grow in line with the business, with an increase in both responsibilities and weekly hours as an additional business is brought under the role.

The Role

You will be responsible for end-to-end accounts administration, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day operations. Key duties include:

  • Accounts payable: invoice entry and supplier payments

  • Accounts receivable: remittances and following up outstanding accounts

  • Processing rebates, credit notes and adjustments

  • Daily bank reconciliations and monthly credit card reconciliations

  • Maintaining clean, accurate financial records

  • Assisting with financial reports and statements

  • Month-end close tasks and balance reconciliations

  • Preparing monthly sales commission statements

  • Managing employee expenses

  • Supporting payroll, employee records and WorkCover requirements

  • Maintaining organised records for compliance and audit purposes

About You

This role will suit someone who is confident, organised, and experienced in accounts administration or bookkeeping. You will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience in a similar accounts or bookkeeping role

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounts processes

  • MYOB or Xero experience (essential)

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Confidence working independently and managing your own workload

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach

A bookkeeping qualification is well regarded but not essential.

What's on Offer

  • Secure, part-time role with consistent hours

  • Flexibility across 2-3 days per week, pick your days and hours.

  • Supportive, family-oriented office culture

  • Exposure to multiple established businesses

  • Free on-site parking

  • Opportunity to grow with the business group over time
